Electrical Design & Technical Leadership

• Lead electrical design for UK water industry assets including:

• LV and HV distribution systems

• MCCs, VSDs, and pumping station electrical systems

• Treatment works electrical infrastructure

• Produce, review, and approve design outputs such as:

• Single-line diagrams

• Cable calculations and load assessments

• Electrical schedules, specifications, and control philosophies

• Ensure compliance with:

• BS 7671, EN 61439

• WIMES

• CDM and water-company standards

• DSEAR/ATEX where applicable

Project Delivery

• Act as the electrical technical lead on multi-disciplinary UK water projects.

• Support feasibility studies, optioneering, and value engineering.

• Provide technical input during procurement, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.

• Work closely with process, mechanical, civil, and ICA teams to deliver integrated MEICA solutions.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and support junior and intermediate electrical engineers.

• Lead design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID workshops, and technical meetings.

• Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers within the UK water sector.

• Promote best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure design outputs meet ISO 9001 quality requirements.

• Support digital engineering and BIM-led delivery where applicable.
