Role Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join a growing team working on non-infrastructure water industry projects. This site-based role involves the installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical systems across treatment works, pumping stations, and control buildings. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant delivery of electrical works aligned with industry regulations and project requirements.
Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on non-infrastructure water sector assets.
Work from schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions to deliver accurate installations.
Inspection & Testing
Carry out electrical testing and inspections on new and existing installations.
Complete and maintain all required documentation, including EICs and MEIWCs.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all work is compliant with BS 7671 (18th Edition), the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and other relevant standards.
Maintain a strong commitment to health and safety and support a culture of continuous compliance.
Liaise with project teams and the Qualifying Supervisor to ensure work is executed to the highest quality and safety standards.
Fault Finding & Support
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex site challenges efficiently.
Continuous Improvement
Keep current with developments in electrical technologies, tools, and practices.
Provide feedback to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and quality.
The Candidate:
Fully qualified Electrician with proven industrial installation experience.
Background in the water industry or a similar process-driven environment.
City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
Solid understanding of BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
City & Guilds 2391 or 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
The Offer:
Pay: £42,000.00 - £50,000.00 per year
