Role Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting the successful delivery of projects within the UK water and wastewater sector. You’ll play a key role in the design, coordination, and implementation of water treatment and process engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and on-time delivery across a range of capital and maintenance works.

Manage and deliver water and wastewater engineering projects from design through to commissioning.
Prepare and review technical documentation including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
Support project planning, cost control, and risk management activities.
Conduct site visits and surveys to assess progress and technical compliance.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
Provide technical input during design reviews, procurement, and installation.
Assist with commissioning, testing, and handover documentation.

Proven experience as a Project Engineer within the UK water industry (clean or wastewater).
Strong understanding of water process systems, pumping, treatment, and chemical dosing technologies.
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience working with major UK water utilities or their Tier 1/2 contractors.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with CAD or project management software is advantageous.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
