Role Summary:

A leading provider of commercial laundry and ware washing solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team. Based in NW London, you will visit customer sites across London and the Southeast to carry out maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a wide range of equipment.

This is a key front-line position where you will represent the company, deliver high-quality service, and build trusted relationships with a valued customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend customer sites for service calls, breakdowns, and routine maintenance

  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on commercial laundry and ware washing equipment

  • Provide clear, detailed written reports on work completed

  • Assess equipment condition and installation quality

  • Commission newly installed equipment and verify system performance

  • Carry out basic installations, including auto dosing units and ozone systems

  • Prepare, test, and refurbish ex-rental equipment

  • Maintain van stock levels and update inventory within the Salesforce system

The Candidate:

  • Proven mechanical and electrical engineering experience

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Gas Safe certification (desirable but not essential)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional, personable, and presentable

  • Ability to manage workload independently and work well under pressure

  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic

  • Full, clean UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with commercial laundry equipment

  • Gas or electrical certifications

  • Familiarity with ware washing systems and auto dosing technology

The Offer:

£37,000 – £48,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
