Role Summary:

Are you a hands-on sparkie who enjoys working outdoors and doing work that really matters? We’re on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Street Lighting Electrician to join our friendly and hard-working team.

You’ll help keep our roads safe and well-lit by installing, fixing, and looking after street lighting and other electrical systems on the highway.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and fix street lights and other electrical gear on roads and pavements

  • Find and fix faults fast – keep things running smoothly and safely

  • Test and inspect equipment to make sure it’s working properly and safely

  • Respond to call-outs like lighting failures or urgent repairs

  • Keep records of the work you’ve done using a tablet or phone

  • Work safely – especially when working at height or in all weather

  • Be a team player – work closely with other crew members and supervisors

The Candidate:

What You’ll Need -

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or similar)

  • AM2 assessment completed

  • City & Guilds 2391 (or similar testing qualification)

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Happy to work outdoors, rain or shine

  • OK with working at height using access platforms (MEWPs)

Bonus Skills (Not essential, but nice to have) -

  • IPAF licence

  • G39 street lighting safety cert

  • Knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regs

  • HGV Class 2 licence

  • Experience with street lights or highway work

The Offer:

Pay: £29,800.00 - £32,700.00 per year
