Role Summary:
Senior Civil Engineer – Swindon
We're seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients expanding Swindon office. You should have a proven track record in delivering diverse Civil Engineering projects across both public and private sectors, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a consultancy setting.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll report directly to the Principal Engineer within your team. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the successful technical and commercial execution of project work, which includes managing personnel and resources. We're looking for an individual who possesses strong technical skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to cultivate relationships with clients and peers.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting complex analysis and design calculations
Assisting in resource planning for optimal project delivery and financial management
Providing guidance and reviewing the work of fellow engineers and technicians
Implementing and understanding business management systems
Contributing to proposal and tender preparation and review
Ensuring technical compliance with statutory regulations and company quality management systems
Participating in the training and appraisal of technical staff
Contributing to the enhancement and growth of the company reputation
The Candidate:
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Near Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, Member of ICE, or similar relevant institution
Over 5 years of experience in a consulting environment
Familiarity with UK structural engineering design standards and Eurocodes
Demonstrated proficiency in engineering design and reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possession of a full UK driving license
