Role Summary:
We are looking for an Access Control Security Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems such as Intruder Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, and Warden Call systems. You will be required to ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and meet industry standards. The role involves servicing and installing a variety of security systems, including door entry, warden call, automatic door/gate systems, and IP/networked CCTV systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, service, and maintain Access Control Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and other security systems.
Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on access control and security systems.
Conduct testing, inspections, and compliance checks in line with British Standards for Access Control and CCTV systems.
Report daily on the progress of work, advising supervisors or managers of any issues regarding time scales or resources.
Ensure all work is completed within the agreed timeframes and to the required standards.
Provide support to clients, ensuring their security systems are maintained effectively and efficiently.
Work independently or as part of a team, meeting deadlines and project goals.
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Contract Manager.
The Candidate:
A background in social housing or local authority maintenance is essential.
A valid CSCS card is required.
Experience with one or more of the following manufacturers is desirable: ISM, GDX, ENTROTEC, SML, PAC, KMS, RECRD, GEZE, GALAXY, TEXECOM (training will be provided if needed).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must hold a full UK driving licence.
The Offer:
Competitive salary (£35,000 - £40,000, depending on experience).
