We have a fantastic opportunity for a Front-End Developer to join a leading Marketing Agency in East Cheshire.
With a minimum of 2 years’ experience, you will have the chance to work on a variety of projects for our vast range of customers from Blue Chip global organisations to local authorities.
You will predominantly be working alongside developers and designers to build robust frontend solutions and as such you will have a strong appreciation of UX and UI and an eye for detail to translate design into code.
A large part of the role will be working with WordPress theme development, however, there is also scope for working on 3D experiences developed in Canvas, as well as other frontend technologies.
Key Activity and Responsibilities;
Developing beautiful frontend solutions
Developing custom WordPress themes
Conducting website performance tests and optimising sites
Working alongside other developers and designers and the broader team to discuss website design and function
Working directly with clients as part of team meetings
The ability to work well as part of a team, you will have excellent communication skills, be collaborative and have a passion for learning and implementing new technologies.
A natural problem solver with a genuine appreciation that there are many ways to solve an issue, and through working together you can uncover the best solutions.
Moreover, you will need to possess most of the below abilities:
Good knowledge of PHP for template development
Knowledge and working experience of Gulp and/or Webpack
A great eye for detail and quality
Good understanding of and ability to create website architecture and aesthetics
Good understanding of building for SEO and browser differences
Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
Monitoring the performance of live websites
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
Knowledge of React and headless CMS deployment is a bonus
Experience working with plugin development is a bonus
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
