LEAD PRACTICE ACCOUNTANT
£25,000 - £30,000
We have a great opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking for career progression with a clear route to partnership.
This role is ideal for a driven individual who would like to progress through to partner level. It will involve developing an extensive SME portfolio and requires a person with great business acumen, communication skills, leadership skills, and a broad technical accounting background.

Manage an established client portfolio and ensure workflows through the other departments and junior team
Develop client portfolio through networking and client relations
Produce statutory accounts
Prepare management accounts for larger clients
Oversee work planning for the team and flow of work, working closely with management team
Liaise with clients face to face, via email and telephone and assisting with their accounting queries
Lead and mentor junior members of the team
Lead, manage, develop and coach an effective overall team
Lead the roll out of Cloud Based accountancy packages and new IT services to clients and team members
ACCA or CA. AAT with experience as an absolute minimum
Accounts preparation and finalisation experience essential
Payroll exposure is essential
Business and personal tax knowledge advantageous
Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and IRIS knowledge would be essential
Must be used to managing client accounts end-to-end
Must be a problem solver and be experienced to assist clients with any financial based enquiries
Must be a leader and wanting/willing to managing juniors' workloads and offer support and guidance
