Role Summary:

We have a truly fantastic, career opportunity for a forward thinking and talented individual to join a high energy team who are at the forefront of ground breaking medical technology. Our client is looking for an Apprentice Field Hardware Engineer to kick start a rewarding career.

In this role you will gain a nationally recognised qualification through a local training provider. Level 3 IT Solutions Technician.

Responsibilities:

Your role will be to support the build, test and deployment of server hardware into the field. You will be installing new operating systems, configuring hardware and ensure the company hardware database is effectively maintained. Some other responsibilities include:


- Configuration build and test of Android tablets running applications

- Investigation and diagnosis of faults on customer sites

- Remotely applying settings changes and software upgrades to customer systems

The Candidate:

- Keen to learn and develop your IT skills in a field based, hardware role

- Practical and hands on - experience and/or the ability to build a basic PC would be beneficial

- Able to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively

- Pragmatic, self-motivated and goal oriented

- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities may change quickly

- Flexible, friendly and approachable

- Full UK Driving License


We are also looking for someone who;

- Enjoys making things and tinkering with hardware

- Loves helping people solve problems

- Is enthusiastic about a career in IT.

- Has an understanding of IT hardware


It would be great if you know something about:

- Linux operating systems

- Building PC hardware

- Android tablet management


You will likely have the following qualifications:

- GCSE Grade A*-C / 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
