APPRENTICE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Role Summary:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an office administrator to join our growing business, based in Ossett.

The role will be working within the business support function which covers a range of activities and subjects, including construction management and recruitment.

This role will allow you to gain on the job experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification, Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship.

Following completion of this qualification, there will be further opportunity for development. This doesn’t necessarily have to be in administration, you may take a liking to finance, or something entirely different. These options will be discussed with you along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phone calls from customers and clients, communicating in a professional manner and taking messages when necessary

  • Sending/responding to emails from customers and clients

  • Working on/updating company IT systems and websites

  • Updating social media (Facebook and Instagram)

  • Using Microsoft Packages, in particular Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Assisting with financial duties (inputting invoices, filing, etc.)

  • General administrative duties (scanning, filing, etc.)

  • Occasionally, you may be required to attend our offices/sites throughout the UK. Travel will be provided and paid for by the company


The Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (grade 4 – 9 or equivalent)

  • Excellent IT skills

  • Confident communicator both verbally and written

  • Keen to learn and develop skills and knowledge

  • Punctual and well organised

  • Detail oriented and diligent in carrying out tasks

  • Self-motivated

The Offer:

  • National Minimum Wage for an Apprentice, which is currently £4.30 per hour

  • 35-hour week, Mon - Thu: 09:00 – 17:00, Fri: 09:00 – 14:00
