Role Summary:


We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a highly successful and leading manufacturer based in Hull

This is a brand-new role and therefore are some exciting projects to get involved in but mainly you will be responsible for analysing and controlling the financial performance. The role will involve working with the commercial and operational teams to deliver financial gains to the business through customer margin improvements, effective cost control, and the successful delivery of profit improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysing and controlling the financial performance of two business streams

  • Preparation and presentations of monthly Business Unit financials

  • Monitor and follows-up Business Unit performance and deviations

  • Coordinate cross functional controlling processes and projects

  • Responsible for the annual budgeting

  • Control of capital employed and aged debt

  • Responsible for overseeing and checking pricing work

  • Present data and challenge problem areas with the commercial teams to drive improvements

  • Identify and capture profit improvement initiatives and projects

  • Process improvements for the controlling and finance function

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting (sales & margin, forecasting, KPI’s)


The Candidate:

  • Experience of finance and business development at a senior level essential

  • History and experience of seeking out commercial opportunities essential

  • CIMA fully qualified or equivalent experience essential

  • Experience of pricing structures, Sales and Product development and stock costing through the use of a bill of materials

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Competent Microsoft Office user, in particular Excel

  • A natural leader with the ability to motivate others

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Able to drive team performance and improve functional knowledge of the team through coaching and sharing knowledge/skills and experiences
